Hughes back at Bury

Bury Town have striker Olly Hughes back in the fold

Bury Town waved a sad goodbye to striker Olly Hughes at the end of last season, after the striker decided to go and see the world- but now he's back, and hopefully as good as ever.

Hughes, who has picked up the Supporters Player of the Year Award five times, pulled his boots on again with Hadleigh United on Saturday, and was immediately approached by his former club, agreeing a dual-registration deal. He played the full ninety minutes as Town ruined Felixstowe & Walton United's home record last night.

Ollie played for Walsham-Le-Willows, Leiston and AFC Sudbury before moving to Ram Meadow. He managed six goals for the club last season, three during the almost non existent 20-21 campaign, eight during 2019-20, twenty one during 2018-19, ten during 17-18, thirteen during 16-17, and fourteen during 2015-16. He also ran a marathon to pay for supporters season tickets during 2020, as if his performances weren't enough to earn him the love of the Town faithful!
