Former Herne Bay striker Zak Ansah signs on at Faversham Town

Faversham Town have been collecting players of late like a child in a playground collects Pokemon cards- and the latest addition to that collection may be the best yet, as former Herne Bay striker Zak Ansah signs on.

Zak was a massive part of Bay's Pitching In Isthmian South East promotion last season, delivering twenty five goals in forty six appearances- including a hat trick against Lancing and a goal against Haywards heath Town in the Play Off Semi-Final. Overall he played one hundred times for Bay, and scored a rather incredible fifty seven goals.

Zak came through the ranks at Arsenal, and also played for Charlton Athletic, Plymouth Argyle and Newport County before taking the step into Non League. Woking was his first stop, and then he joined our ranks with Hythe Town, scoring thirty one goals for the Cannons during the 2018-19 campaign, and nineteen in nineteen matches the previous season. The 2017-18 campaign included a run of ten games in a row in which he found the net.
