It's alright in black and white

By Ian Townsend

Geordies and Terrors progress in the London Senior Cup- we've brief reports, a programme and some video!

We had two matches in the London Senior Cup at the weekend, and both ended in narrow victories for Pitching In Isthmian League sides, as Tooting & Mitcham United and Hanwell Town proved it's alright in black and white!

The Terrors entertained Erith Town, in front of their fans for the first time in what feels like forever, and came away with a last-gasp two-one victory. Tom Jelley put the Terrors ahead in the first half, and it looked like that would be the only goal of the game until the visitors got an equaliser from the spot with just three minutes to go. The Terrors earned a place in the Semi-Final right at the end, when a Dontai Stewart free kick was deflected into the Town net.

Tooting will take on either Haringey Borough or Hanwell Town in the last four, and we'll find out which when the two meet at Coles Park tomorrow night.

The Geordies travelled to Fisher for their tie on Saturday, and had to hold on after going three-nil up to claim a four-three victory. The Geordies two first half goals came from Ogo Obi, but the striker didn't finish the half after he and a home player both saw red after a bad tackle and a poor reaction to it. It didn't seem to matter when Kai Brosnan made it three, but Fisher struck back to make it two-three and caused some worries for Town. Those worries weren't entirely cleared when the visitors got a fourth- scorer unknown- as Fisher then hit back to get a third of their own and set up a heart-stopping finale, but the Geordies held on for victory.

You can read the programme by heading here- and we can actually show you the ground and some of the action as YouTuber Chris White filmed it- see below. If you're impatient, the action starts at the six minute mark.

The quarter final will kick off at Coles Park tomorrow night at 7.45 PM. Ticket prices will be Adults £10, Concessions £5, Under 16s FREE, and the Bar and club shop will be open from 18:00.

AFC Wimbledon await either the Terrors, the Geordies or Borough in the Final.

Elsewhere and in a friendly, Marlow defeated the FFDTV Academy two-nil, scorers unknown. Finally, Worthing defeated Welling United Under 23's by five goals to two. Luca Cocoracchio, Ollie Pearce (2), Ryan Richefond and Ty Mthunzi got the goals for the Mackerel Men.
