It's two match Wednesday

By Ian Townsend

You can either head to Cray Wanderers or Romford (Bromley FC or Barking) or watch Michael Portillo on TV. Surely it's a no brainer?!

We've two matches tonight, one in the Pitching In Isthmian Premier Division and one in the North Division- much better than sitting at home watching the telly!

The Premier Division has Cray Wanderers hosting Wingate and Finchley. Wands started the season really well but have gone off the boil in recent weeks, and have now lost their last six matches in all competitions as Danny Kedwell's new side struggles to find its feet. The visiting Blues, in contrast, have hit a bit of a purple patch, defeating Kingstonian and Baldock Town and drawing with Bognor Regis Town in their last three matches.

The lasts even meetings between the sides have seen four Cray wins and three draws- Wingate and Finchley would dearly like to turn around that sequence.

In the North Division, Romford have lost four of their last five matches and really need three points against Tilbury. The Dockers were highly fancied but haven't had the start to the campaign that they- or the rest of us- would have expected, but they picked up three points against Great Wakering Rovers last time out.

The last eight meetings between the sides have seen four wins each- and they have run in sequence. Given that Romford won the last one, perhaps it's time for a Dockers victory? We'll find out later.
