Jake Elliott returns to Hastings

National League defender is the latest arrival at Pilot Field

Hastings United have announced the return to the club of defender Jake Elliott, who returns to Pilot Field from National League South neighbours Eastbourne Borough.

Jake has only been away from United for fourteen months, but had an impressive 21-22 for Sports, who are sorry to see him go. In a club statement issued yesterday, they explained:

'It is with a tinge of sadness that we announce the departure of Jake Elliott.

Jake has been working very hard off the field to gain qualifications to climb the ladder in his off-field work life. Unfortunately, a new job role brings fresh constraints around Jake’s time and he would not be able to commit to the long hours needed to compete at The National League South Level.

Jake has been a great servant to the club during his time with us, with perhaps the highlight of his time here being the winning goal against Dorking last season.'

He made thirty eight appearances for Hastings during the unfinished 2019-20 season, and scored four goals. He made another eleven appearances in the even-less-finished 2020-21 season. Prior to his time at Pilot Field he played for Peacehaven & Telscombe.
