Witham Town manager Garry Kimble has won the race to sign Tilbury's highly-rated teenager Tom Wraight.

Kimble signed the left-sided winger from Ryman North Division rivals on Monday and believes he'll add balance to his squad and continue the club's policy of blending youth and experience ahead for the coming campaign.

The 18-year-old graduated from the Dockers' youth team and finished last term as their top scorer. He's been attracting the interest of a number of clubs higher up Non-League's Pyramid as well as in the Football League and Kimble is delighted with what could be the final arrival of the summer at Spa Road.

Kimble said: "The only signings we were going to make in the summer were those that would improve the squad and Tom is the latest signing that I feel does that. He is a local lad, not too far from Witham and it's good to see another young talented player playing for the club.

"It's important we keep the blend of experience and youth in the squad. Tom is left-footed so we have gone from having no attacking left-footed players to adding two, so he gives us balance."
