Swans announce a managerial departure

Staines Town have announced that manager Martin Kuhl has left the club. The former Birmingham City, Portsmouth, Derby County and Bristol City midfielder took the job in December, when he replaced interim manager Mahrez Bettache, but has been unable to improve the fortunes of the club; indeed, matters have got worse, the Swans sinking to joint bottom of the South Central table.

Since his arrival at Wheatsheaf Park the Swans have played eleven league matches, without a single victory. Indeed their only points came in draws with Uxbridge and with Tooting & Mitcham United.

The club statement, released on social media, reads as follows:

Staines Town FC regret to announce the departure of Martin Kuhl by mutual consent. The club would like to wish Martin all the best in his future endeavours.

The club will make a further announcement in due course.
