Late Oaks, and even later Brickies

By Ian Townsend

Sevenoaks Town and Sittingbourne triumph in the Trophy- in matches where most of the action came right at the end

Sevenoaks Town travelled to face Hadley, bottom of Pitching In Southern Division One Central- and once again it was the Ryan Gondoh Show! The Oaks number ten had already scored four goals prior to this match- including both as Oaks knocked Kingstonian out of the FA Cup- and last night saw him take his tally to six, and steer his side to the next round. His opener came in the eleventh minute, but eleven minutes later the equaliser arrived, and more than an hour after that it looked as if we were off to penalties. Gondoh, however, had other ideas, popping up to score just as the added time was being displayed on the touchline.

South Park Reigate had to entertain Sittingbourne at Merstham, as they await the completion of their new pitch at Whitehall Lane. The Brickies went ahead five minutes before the break, Bagusan Graham with the goal, and looked as if they'd sealed their passage to the next round when the ninetieth minute arrived with no further goals, but suddenly the Sparks sparked into life, and Aiden Brown grabbed an equaliser to send the match to penalties- but no! Right back up the other end we went, and Donvieve Jones grabbed an away winner!
