Make it Snappy- 2nd October 2021

By Ian Townsend

Our regular thank you to all the folk who sit by the side of a pitch in all weathers pointing a camera. Here are yesterday's offerings from a collection of sodden, windswept photographers.

We had some fabulous football yesterday, but it was accompanied by some appalling weather- so it's even more remarkable that we have so many wonderful pictures to share with you. Many thanks to all of our photographers for braving the elements- we hope you've dried out by now!

In no particular order, here we go!

We start at Binfield, with our headline image. Recording their victory yesterday over South Park was Neil Graham, who took lots of fabulous shots which you can find here.

Kaylee Seckington normally sits behind a keyboard rather than a camera, but she took some fine shots at Merstham v Hereford yesterday and you can see them here, whilst Russell Dossett was at Boston United v East Thurrock United, see more from him here.

On Field Matters were snapping away as Westfield defeated Staines Town, see more from them here, whilst Brownie Sports Photography's shot from Whitstable Town v Cray Valley PM really shows quite how wet it was! See more here.

Brian Moses knew it was raining long before the rest of us, but here's a fabulous shot of him celebrating a goal for Maldon & Tiptree- more here, photographer currently uncredited but we think it might be Roy Warner; whilst on the Essex coast Neil Payne was watching Brightlingsea Regent steamrollered by Bognor Regis Town, images here.

Neil Dady, as always, was taking fabulous shots of a Bury Town win- and you can see them all here, whilst Stuart Tree stopped searching for Mr Blue Sky for a moment to capture some fabulous moments as Corinthian-Casuals hosted Wingate & Finchley- see more here.

Leatherhead shared some photographs of their match with Haringey Borough on social media, and it was interesting to discover that Borough have a Sussex branch- more here; and finally, Bowers and Pitsea's draw with Hornchurch was captured by a rather damp Nashy Photo, but the images are fab as always.

If we've missed any, please get in touch and we'll add them!
