Manager Tommy Osborne departs Cray Valley

Millers decide that a change is required

Cray Valley PM have ended the managerial reign of Tommy Osbourne, who took over in November after the departure of Kevin Miller.

Tommy, who had been Assistant under Miller, came within a whisker of grabbing a Pitching In Isthmian South East Play Off spot. The Millers had occupied fifth place going into the final day, but a draw with Sheppey United, who were also competing for fifth placed, allowed Hythe Town to snatch the spot from under their noses.

The club statement reads:

'Tommy, who took over the reins of the club following Kevin Watson’s departure in November 2022, narrowly failed to deliver a play-off spot for the club and the club’s committee have decided that a change of manager is required to try and ensure the best possible chance of promotion next season.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Tommy for his contribution to the club following his many years of service as a player, coach and manager, and we wish him every success with his future endeavours.'
