Match of the Season: Folkestone Invicta 2 Aveley 5

We revisit some of the best matches of last season. It was a long trip on a Tuesday night for the Millers, but we suspect the journey home seemed much shorter!

Aveley were having a fine first season following promotion, and travelled to the Kent coast on November 15th in fifth place in the Pitching In Isthmian Premier table. They left in second place, behind leaders Hornchurch only on goal difference, after hitting the stripes for five- a George Sykes hat trick doing most of the damage.
