Great Wakering Rovers appoint Steve Roberts

Prior to the postponement of Saturday's match with East Thurrock United, Great Wakering Rovers announced the appointment of a new manager, Steve Roberts taking on the role.

Steve is an Academy coach at Tottenham Hotspur, and also a Football Development Officer at the USP College in Essex. A UEFA B licenced coach, he has worked on four continents- Europe, Africa, America and Asia. Closer to home, he has worked in Sports Science at Southend United and West Ham United.

Steve's Assistant is Tom Ranger, who you will undoubtedly remember from his time as a player with Rovers, and also with the likes of Brentwood Town, Hullbridge Sports and Concord Rangers.
