Non-League Day 2014 and the efforts the league's clubs are planning this season is the hot topic on Thursday night's Ryman Round-up Show.

With England taking on Switzerland in a European Championship qualifying curtain-raiser on Saturday, hundreds of clubs are taking part in Non-League Day and with all but a handful of the Ryman League's clubs involved, the event's campaign manager Mike Bayly is the lead guest on the weekly phone-in show for fans, players and officials.

The Wingate & Finchley fan, pictured, got involved in the annual celebration and promotion of Non-League football after meeting NLD founder and Harrow Borough fan James Doe on the BBC's Non-League Show. Bayly describes the event as "a chance for people to show their appreciation for the thousands of volunteers who work tirelessly to preserve local Non-League football".

Doe originally started NLD as a social media experiment in 2010 to help clubs take advantage of the traditional September international break to showcase their facilities and football by offering free or discounted entry to season ticket holders from the Football League and Premier League. Other popular promotions set to be run again by many clubs this weekend include offering free entry to off duty members of the armed forces and the emergency services.

Harlow Town are one of the club's hoping to lure new fans to their match against Soham Town Rangers and Bayly will be joined on the Non-League Day special by Hawks secretary Ray Dyer and Needham Market manager Mark Morsley who takes his side to Thamesmead Town in Ryman North on Saturday, another match designated as an official NLD fixture.

Launched at the start of last season by Harlow-based online community station Hawks Radio, the Ryman Round-up Show broadcasts from 7pm to 10pm every week with presenter David Square back in the studio hot-seat for the second season running hosting the debate on the latest Isthmian League news and action.

Like all of last season's shows, every episode is also podcasted for anyone who can't tune in live. To listen live to the show visit: www.hawksradio.co.uk and to air your views on the phone-in call 01279 899150. Alternatively, email your comments direct to the studio at: ryman@hawksradio.co.uk.
