Ollie runs Bury!

By Ian Townsend

Town legend pounds the pavement to reward supporters and volunteers

As we write this, Bury Town legend Ollie Hughes is probably beginning to worry about blisters. We told you back in March that the player was planning to run an entire marathon around Bury St Edmunds to raise money for those dedicated to the club, and he set off earlier this morning- and will be joined by a number of his team mates for a socially-distanced jog throughout the morning.

Head to the Bury Town twitter feed- which you can find here- to keep up with progress!

So far Ollie's efforts have raised three thousand, three hundred and seventy pounds, which will go towards purchasing season tickets for the club's Ultra's,reward other loyal Bury Town fans, give thanks to the club's wonderful volunteers and support the youth teams. You can add to that total, and read more about why he is running, by heading here.

Good luck Ollie. We hope that all that training pays off!
