Portsmouth forward new at Bognor

Bognor Regis Town bring in Pompey youth Sam Folarin

Bognor Regis Town last night announced the loan signing of Portsmouth forward Sam Folarin.

Sam, who is not to be confused with the former Tooting & Mitcham United player who stepped up to sign for Middlesborough and is now a big part of the first team squad Harrogate Town (we mention that because our first thought was to confuse the two), was a part of the Academy setup at Crystal Palace before joining up with Pompey in December 2022. His move to Fratton Park was initially on trial, but he quickly became an important part of the Under 18 squad, and he has been part of the first team squad without yet getting any minutes on the pitch.

He became a Republic of Ireland Under 18 international in November, making his debut from the bench as his side defeated Belgium 2-1.

He may get to make his Rocks debut at Concord Rangers tomorrow, if of course the weather doesn't intervene.
