Potters Bar Town announce 3G plans

3g 'by the end of the year' for the Scholars- alongside a new community hub

Potters Bar Town are the latest of our clubs to announce that they are preparing for a 3G future. A club statement explained:

'The Club is delighted to announce plans to install a 3G pitch at the Lantern Stadium by the end of this year!

We recognise that after a tough season for our grass pitch, the surface has run its course, and it is time to change and evolve the playing surface at Potters Bar Town.

With that in mind, the Club can confirm that it will be submitting planning permission to the council in the coming weeks for a new 3G pitch, as well as an upgraded surrounding walkway and LED floodlights.'

The Scholars also hope to launch a new community hub once the new pitch is installed.

'Over 1000 people will play on the pitch every week, with over 50 hours a week of usage, bringing seniors, youth, women’s and disability football to the Club as well as generating extra revenue.

The 3G pitch, which has been years in the making, will help Potters Bar Town Football Club reach new heights, as well as extending the role the Club plays in the local area.'
