A few weeks ago we announced that striker Alex Read had joined Bishop's Stortford, his fifth club of the season. Well today he's moved on to number six, as Harlow Town have announced the return of their former talisman.
He managed four appearances for the Blues during the short time he was there, after joining from Wingate and Finchley, where he'd added eleven more with one goal. He had previously played for Aveley and Enfield Town after starting this campaign as he'd finished the last, with National League South side Tonbridge Angels. He scored thirteen goals for Angels last season as they won promotion from the Isthmian League.
Prior to becoming an Angel he was a rather prolific Hawk, scoring sixteen goals for Harlow in 2017-18 and nineteen the season before- indeed, he had a record of a goal every one hundred and forty minutes during his time there.
Harlow have also confirmed the loan signing of goalkeeper Arthur Janata from Leyton Orient. Arthur has spent time on loan last season at Bishop's Stortford, making twenty one appearances, and- earlier this season- at Potters Bar Town. He made four appearances for the Scholars. Read more here.
Harlow entertain fifth place Uxbridge in the South Central Division tomorrow.
