Rocks try Tweed

East Thurrock announce the arrival of a new midfielder

East Thurrock United have just announced the arrival at Rookery Hill of defensive midfielder Michael Tweed.

Michael arrives from Grantham Town, where he has made eighteen appearances this season in the BetVictor Northern Premier Division. He previously played for Nuneaton Borough, where he caught the attention of Aston Villa and Leicester City- and demonstrated his commitment by commuting from London for training. Whilst at Borough he had loan spells at Barwell and Market Drayton Town.

Twenty years old, he came through the youth ranks at Queens Park Rangers. He made his United debut as a second half substitute in yesterday's draw with Worthing.
