Saturday's Ryman South action review

Tooting & Mitcham United hammered Whitstable Town 6-0 in to climb further away from trouble at the wrong end of the Ryman South table.

Goals from Frankie Sawyer after 23 minutes and two minutes from time sandwiched strikes from Cecil Jee, Max Noble, Jordan Cheadle and Pinnock, from the penalty spot, as Town suffered a second half meltdown and the Terrors celebrated their biggest win of the season.

Just over a 1,000 fans saw Guernsey beat Worthing 4-1 to climb to seventh. Matt Loaring put the Islanders ahead on 27 minutes but Worthing were back in it soon after the break thanks to Dan Turner's equaliser.

Ross Allen is in red-hot form for the Greens Lions though. In the last 15 minutes he bagged a superb treble, putting them ahead with a powerful volley, adding a second from the spot and then adding a third deep into injury time.

Ryman South leaders Walton Casuals came away with all three points after a hard fought win at Ramsgate. Scot Day headed Casuals ahead just before the half hour mark befor Ian Pulman levelled five five minutes later.

Dave Pilcher put the home side ahead three minutes before the break but Casuals were back on level terms with Connor French from the spot ten minutes after the interval and won it through Jamal Okai 12 minutes from time.

At the wrong end of the tables Chipstead won the six pointer away at bottom club Eastbourne Town 2-1 at the Saffrons.

Danny Moody converted from the spot on 18 minutes to put Chips ahead before veteran striker Rocky Baptiste headed the hosts level 14 minutes later. Stef Joseph scored what proved to be the winner three minutes before the break.

Corinthian Casuals are still second bottom after they went down 3-2 to a second half fight-back from visiting Folkestone Invicta.

Casuals' Juevan Spencer scored from close range before the break before second half substitute Dane Luchford smashed home a 25 yard equaliser on 50 minutes. Luckford struck again from close range with 20 minutes but Jamie Byatt's diving header had the strugglers level again. Any hopes of a point were dashed with ten minutes to go when Frankie Chappell nodded home from close range.

For the second week running second placed Hastings United came from behind to win with a 2-1 success at home to Horsham. Gabriel Odunaike had given the visitors a first half lead just before the break but Tim Olorunda nine minutes into the second period and an own goal from Jahmahl King on 66 minutes settled it.

In mid-table Hythe beat Redhill at home by the narrowest of margins, Shaun Welford scoring the only goal of the game in the 39th minute as they climbed one place above their visitors into 11th spot.

Relentless rain caused the abandonment of the game between Three Bridges and Burgess Hill Town but there wee plenty of goals in a Kent derby at Sittingbourne who overcame Herne Bay 4-2.

A Joe Taylor double to open and close the scoring in the 12th and final minute, the latter from the penalty spot were added to by Tom Loynes in the first half and Stephen Okoh with eight minutes to go. Stuart King on 27 minutes and James Turner with three minutes to go kept the visitor's hopes alive.

Leroy Griffiths struck a long range winner for Leatherhead in a 2-1 win at home to Crawley Down Gatwick just before the break. Gary Holloway had given the Anvils the lead against the run of play on 28 minutes before Jamie Coyle headed the Tanners level.

Not far away, Mersthm went down 3-0 at home to Peacehaven and Telscombe. A hat-trick from Charie Walker on 3, 24 and 50 minutes consolidated the league newcomers' place in third.

Walton & Hersham and Faversham shared were the only sides to draw on Saturday as they played out a 2-2 stalemate. Walton had to fight back from first half goals from Wayne Wilson and Matt Bourne, Chris Grayland heading them back into the game just after the hour mark and Juan Onigua securing the draw from the spot with just over twenty minutes to go.
