Shot of the Season: 23-24

By Ian Townsend

We ask our Pitching In Isthmian photographers to nominate their favourite photograph of the season

We are blessed to have some incredibly talented photographers pointing their long lenses at the Isthmian action, and we’d like to hear from each of them as we start our regular end-of season series. Entitled ‘Shot of the Season,’ we’d like each one of our snappers to put forward the favourite photograph they’ve taken during the season just ended (or in the case of our Play Off qualifiers, about to reach its climax), and tell us why it's special to them.

So, especially for those who point a camera in anger, here’s the small print!

It doesn’t have to be an action shot. Whether it’s an image of celebrating supporters, a brilliant goal or a hard-working volunteer, or something entirely different, what makes it special is that you think it’s special. It just needs to be from our league.

We need you to send the image to Ian at townsendaround@gmail.com (or if it is a particularly large file, a link to where it can be downloaded), and add the following information:

  • When was the image taken (match, event, etc)?
  • Why is it important to you?
  • Where can we find the rest of your work?

And that’s it. You’ll see the series appear from Tuesday 7th May onwards.

If you have any questions then please drop Ian a quick email. Our headline image is from Sarah Merritt, and features the Ipswich Wanderers bananas!
