When was the image taken (match, event, etc)?
Taken after Hashtag United secured the Isthmian North.
Why is it important to you?
I've been spoiled with some goal celebrations this year and I've posted them loads so I discounted those.
It's always great to see the interaction between supporters and players in non-league, but seeing Harry Haysom enjoy it after injury woes during the season delivers that extra bit to the story behind the picture for me. To be fair I could just as easily have picked Lewis Watson lifting the trophy as he's had his own injury woes too.
Where can we find the rest of your work?
I'm on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Links to all are here - https://linktr.ee/nashyphoto
How and why did you begin taking photographs at football matches?
My son asked me a few years ago if I would take him to a game. We popped over to the Len Salmon and I soon felt like my camera and I were part of the furniture at Bowers. This year I stepped back from Bowers a little but found myself snapping for Hashtag.
The break went out the window as the club and the people around the club are nothing like its detractors try to claim. It's a welcoming club making its own mark in its own way.
What are your hopes for the forthcoming season?
I can see no reason why Hashtag won't have a good season in the Isthmian Premier. If much of the squad stay maybe they can follow this seasons successes of newly promoted Aveley and Canvey and be in the mix for a promotion spot again.
Of course I'm also hoping for a change of fortune for Bowers. I'm glad James Collins is staying and hopefully they can get themselves in the promotion mix from the North too.
If you're a photographer who would like to send in their shot of the season, please answer the questions above and email to Ian on townsendaround@gmail.com
