When was the image taken (match, event, etc)?

The photo was from the Isthmian League Match between Maldon & Tiptree and Witham Town on 22nd April 2023.

Why is it important to you?

Witham Town hadn't had the season they had hoped for, and finished  just above the relegation play off spots. This was our last match of the season, and it was great for players and supporters to finish the season with a 1-0 victory.

How and why did you begin taking photographs at football matches?

I began taking photographs for Witham Towns Soccability Programme, and taking photographs of Witham Town from the terraces and putting them on Facebook. I was then asked if I'd take photos for the club of the matchday mascots. Towards the end of last season the club said I could take pictures pitch side as well. This season was my first full season as a club photographer. I can't thank the club, our other photographers, and the players and staff enough for their help and making it so enjoyable.

What are your hopes for the forthcoming season?

Obviously for Witham to finish higher up the table, and for me to become a better photographer.
