Southend defender heads to Sports

Hullbridge seal loan for former Urchin

Hullbridge Sports have signed Southend United defender Sam Knock on a short term loan.

Sam joined the Shrimpers, aged fifteen, from Hornchurch (or AFC Hornchurch as they were then known). He began on a youth scholarship, and has since signed his first developmental contract. He has played for the Under 18's and the Under 23's at Roots Hall, captaining the former to the EFL Youth Alliance Merit League One title.

The club hope he will be able to make his debut at Dereham Town tomorrow.
