Stagg for the Blues

Shortly before he made his debut in Tuesday's defeat at AFC Sudbury, Brentwood Town announced the loan arrival of Colchester United striker Tom Stagg.

The forward isn't new to the Pitching In Isthmian League, as he was recently with East Thurrock United and made five appearances, the last of them in defeat at Wingate & Finchley just after the start of the year.

He also played five times for Maldon & Tiptree in 20-21, including a substitutes appearance in their FA Cup First Round match against Morecambe, and once the previous season, scoring in a Velocity Trophy walloping of local rivals Heybridge Swifts. He also spent loan time at Witham Town during 2019-20, playing just once.
