Stow get back to winning ways- whilst Tilbury's woes continue

By Ian Townsend

In our only Pitching In Isthmian North clash to beat the weather, Stowmarket Town climbed to fourth

After four months unbeaten Stowmarket Town had suddenly lost the winning habit, losing two in a row for the first time this season- but they were too good for relegation-threatened Tilbury at Chadfields last night.

The Dockers have been in freefall, with only one win- and seven defeats- from their nine matches prior to last night, a run which has seen them drop into the bottom four. It didn't get any better when Ollie Sotoyinbo but the visitors ahead after only six minutes- his eighth Stow goal adding to the two he got for Brightlingsea Regent to take him into double figures- but the hosts remained in the match until eleven minutes into the second half, when Reginald Thompson-Lambe added the second. It took only seven minutes for the third goal to arrive, Jack Wilkinson with that one- and that was that.

Stow climb to fourth- whilst the Dockers remain fourth from bottom, but they'll quickly have the chance for revenge, as the return match is scheduled for February 4th.

The next match in the Division is on Friday, when East Thurrock United welcome Hashtag United.
