Sussex football runners raise nearly sixteen thousand pounds for NHS charities...

By Ian Townsend

...so far!

Last week we told you about an initiative set up by Sussex Football Legends Scott Kirkwood and Kevin Keehan with the aim of raising at least two thousand pounds for the Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Charitable Trust. Well they later raised that target to £3000, but are now- a few minutes ago- on £15, 619.98! Who gave the 98 pence has not been disclosed!

Amongst the runners have been players from all of our local clubs, and you can see them all by following Run5K4NHS on Twitter. And if you haven't yet done a run, you can find out more- and donate- by heading here.
