A new groundshare for Hashtag United for 24-25

Hashtag United have announced that they will be leaving Bowers & Pitsea's Len Salmon Stadium in the summer, and joining their Women's team as tenants of National League South side Aveley.

In a statement released yesterday, the club explained:

“We are really looking forward to unifying both our senior teams at Aveley from the start of the 24/25 season. We’ve had a great time at Bowers and I sincerely thank them for all they’ve done for us. We also understand some of our fans may have to travel further to get to Aveley but we really hope they can join us at Parkside. This move has been thoroughly thought through and assessed by our committee and we believe it fits the future ambition of the club whilst also providing our teams with a top quality facility. The ground itself is also very accessible to any London or Kent based fans, as well as Essex of course. It’s also the longest term ground-share agreement we’ve ever signed and we hope it allows us to put down some roots in the local community.”

The Tags have shared with Bowers since the start of the 20-21 season, having previously been tenants at both Haringey Borough and Tilbury.

The proposed groundshare is subject to League ratification.
