The FA Vase visits the Curfews on Saturday

Trophy on show as Chertsey Town take on FC Romania

In the wake of their BuildBase FA Vase victory last May, Chertsey Town officials visited a number of schools in their local area to excite pupils with the trophy. Many had seen the exploits of the Curfews at Wembley, but not so close at hand. Invitations extended at the time, to visit the ground to both watch a game, handle the Vase and pose for photos with it, have been readily taken up by a number of establishments.

In consequence, the BetVictor Isthmian League South Central match against visitors FC Romania on Saturday 2nd November at 3.00pm will provide this moment. Not only are the children invited as guests of the club, but associated responsible adults, be they parents or teachers, will be attending.

A highlight for a lucky few will be that those who won the prize from each school involved will be mascots for the day- and will be kitted out in the Curfew’s blue and white stripes, as supplied by the club.

The event is aimed at promoting the club’s rapid rise in the football world, which is also expected to also reflect on the town of Chertsey itself, as well as connecting with the local community, something the club is keen to encourage. It promises to be an exceptional afternoon, especially for the hundreds of children who are expected to attend.
