Three Gulls

Canvey continue to recruit

Canvey Island have already introduced us to an impressive string of signings over the past month or so, and last night they continued in that vein as they announced three more new arrivals.

Jamie Salmon comes in after gracing the midfield for Hullbridge Sports, where he played thirty one times last season. Jamie previously played for Bowers and Pitsea- twice, being part of the side which earned promotion from the Essex Senior League and part of the squad which reached the North Division Playoffs in 2017-18, with a short spell at Saffron Walden Town in between. He has also played for Great Wakering Rovers and Catholic United.

Goalkeeper Bobby Mason arrives from Great Wakering Rovers, where he was a big part of the success which saw them end last season in seventh place, playing thirty five times. He joined Rovers from Waltham Abbey, and has also played for Hullbridge Sports, Thurrock, Witham Town and Aveley.

Finally, forward Louis Hunt may be known to North Division supporters from his time at Witham Town, where he played during 2018-19. A Youth player at Concord Rangers, he was part of the Under 18 side which clinched a third consecutive Essex Pelly Under 18s Cup triumph last year, and has also spent time at Southend Manor.
