Ashford United had three new names in their squad as they defeated Sutton Athletic in the FA Cup on Saturday, with the arrivals of Louis Yamfam, Lauric Diakiesse and Emile N’Goy- two of whom started the match for the Nuts and Bolts.
Louis Yamfam didn't get to play, warming the bench for this one, but will undoubtedly be in the thick of the action soon. The midfielder, a former Stevenage, Charlton Athletic and Watford youth, has played briefly in our ranks earlier in his career, making three loan appearances at Dulwich Hamlet from Athletic during the 2016-17 campaign. He has also played for Royston Town, Braintree Town and Kings Langley.
Lauric Diakiesse started in the number nine shirt, having recently been plying his trade at AFC Rushden and Diamonds. Prior to his time as a Diamond he was with Kettering Town, and has also played for Aldershot Town, Erith & Belvedere, Woodford Town, Harrow Borough, Ilford FC, Imortal Desportivo Clube (Portugal), Ware, Egham Town and Heybridge Swifts.
Emile N’Goy is a forward most recently with Stranraer, in Scotland. He has also played for Brechin City north of the border, and for Llanelli Town in Wales, as well as spending time with Dorchester Town.
