Three Transfer Deadline Day signings for Chatham Town, as Jacob Katonia, Francis Mampolo and Harvey Bradbury arrive

We're catching up on the remaining transfers which were announced prior to last week's deadline day. There were quite a number, and with the amount of football we had over the Easter weekend we're a little behind!

Chatham Town strengthened for their promotion push with three signings before the window slammed shut.

Winger Jacob Katonia came in from SCEFL side Fisher, but the very detail conscious amongst you might remember him from the one match he played for Cheshunt during the 21-22 campaign- although, let's be honest, unless you're a diehard Amber that's likely to have passed you by!

Jacob contributed nine goals in nineteen matches for Fisher last season, a very good strike rate for a midfielder, and played twenty five times during 21-22. He won the Managers Player of the season Award last year, and earlier this year followed the manager who gave him that, Ajay Ashanike, to Basildon United- where he played twice, scoring on his debut against Stowmarket Town before heading back to South London. He's yet to make his Chats debut.

A player who did make an immediate impact was Francis Mampolo, who joined on loan from Tonbridge Angels. Another winger, Francis emerged from the bench to make his debut on Good Friday and promptly scored at Cray Wanderers- and then he started the win against Kingstonian on Monday and promptly scored again!

Francis only recently signed a dual registration deal with Folkestone Invicta, and made a debut in victory over Canvey Island on Saturday 19 March. He made a second Stripes appearance in deefat at Cheshunt a few days later. He has also had a dual-reg spell with Margate, playing twice in mid January. Mainly, however, he's been appearing in the Blue of Angels, and has made twenty four appearances.

His other previous Isthmian experience comes at South Central level. He made three appearances with Sutton Common Rovers last season, scoring once, and has also spent time at Westfield.

He started this season at Biggleswade Town.

Finally, Harvey Bradbury came in on loan from Farnborough, and also scored on his debut at Cray Wanderers. The forward came through the ranks at Portsmouth and has Football League experience at Watford, Oxford United and Millwall, too- but in recent seasons has played for Oxford City, Welling United, Gosport Borough, Dorchester Town, Dartford- and joined Farnborough in January.
