Trophy pair prepare to progress!

By David Watters

Dulwich Hamlet are heading to Braintree Town while their Ryman Premier rivals Worthing will host Boreham Wood in the last 16 of the Buildbase FA Trophy if they can overcome Sutton United when they replay.

The Ryman League's final flag-bearers in Non-League's showpiece cup competition are looking ahead to the next round and a chance to reach the quarter-finals following Monday's lunchtime draw at Wembley for the third round.

After knocking out National League South Whitehawk at the weekend and banking £6,000 in prize money with a impressive 4-1 win in East Sussex, Gavin Rose and his Hamlet heroes head to Cressing Road on Saturday 4 February to take on the National League's Iron for another £7,000 from the FA's prize fund and a place in the last eight.

To confirm their berth in the last 16 ties, the Rebels must first overcome United when they go again at their Woodside Road home on Tuesday 24 January after drawing 2-2 with the National League outfit and former Ryman Premier champions at Gander Green Lane on Saturday.

Fans watched FA Trophy Committee chairman Phil Smith and England C manager and former Barnet boss Paul Fairclough make the draw at the national stadium in a live broadcast on the FA's Twitter account.
