Tuesday's Ryman Premier action review

By David Watters

The only game in the Ryman League's Premier Division on Tuesday night saw Merstham move level on points with hosts Brentwood Town after a 2-1 win at The Arena, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

The battle of two of the newly-promoted teams saw the Moatsiders take a 24th minute lead through Tommy Hutchings.

And six minutes later they doubled that when Fabio Saraiva netted from the penalty spot.

Jamie Guy pulled Town back into the game five minutes after the restart but the Essex outfit were unable to find a leveller.
