Two Defensive Towners

By Ian Townsend

Dequane Wilson-Braithwaite and Wynford Marfo sign on at Enfield Town

Enfield Town yesterday announced the arrival of two defenders.

Dequane Wilson-Braithwaite played for both Potters Bar Town and Carshalton Athletic in the Pitching In Isthmian Premier last season, finishing the campaign as a Robin. He also spent a short time with Maldon & Tiptree, for whom he doesn't seem to have played at all after joining from St Neots Town.

Dequane was in his second season at St Neots, having previously played for Potton United. He spent three years at the Tottenham Hotspur Academy between the ages of twelve and fifteen, after which he was snapped up by the Luton Town Academy, joining the Hatters just over three years ago.

He also played briefly for Welling Town in the Southern Counties East Football League last season.

The two are reunited, as Wynford also spent last season with St neots Town, although he was there until the end of the campaign. He came through the ranks at Leyton Orient, playing for the O's up to Under 18 level.
