Two Lancers for Hill

Marcus Allen and Reece Hallard join former Lancing boss Dean Cox at Burgess Hill Town

Burgess Hill Town's new boss Dean Cox has quickly returned to former club Lancing to snap up two of their brightest stars, announcing the arrival of forward Reece Hallard and defender Marcus Allen at the More Than Tyres Stadium.

Marcus made twenty seven appearances for the Lancers last season, weighing in with four goals. The centre back was previously with Peacehaven and Telscombe, Haywards Heath Town and Saltdean United. He won the Managers Player of the Season, Players Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season Awards for his club during the recent campaign.

Reece managed nine goals for the Lancers in thirty four appearances. He came through the youth ranks at Worthing and also spent time with Haywards Heath Town, playing at Hanbury Park during our two pandemic hit campaigns. He was also with Whitehawk during the 2018-19 campaign, and has spent additional time with Eastbourne Town.

Two of last season's squad, Dan Perry and Martyn Box, have also agreed to stay on next season.
