Two new Mackerel Men

By Ian Townsend

A Worthing duo

Signings have been rather thin on the ground at Woodside Road over the summer, but yesterday evening manager Adam Hinshelwood announced the arrival of two forwards.

The first formerly played for Bognor Regis Town Under 18's, but we suspect that the Worthing Away Boys won't hold that against him. Ben Mendoza has spent the last few seasons playing university football in the USA, but has now returned to Sussex and has decided that, having been a Rock, he's now going to be a Rebel/Mackerel Man.

Joining Ben is Three Bridges striker Mason Doughty, who made his Isthmian League debut last season.
