Paul Vaughan has resigned as director of football at Ryman North Tilbury to take up a coaching role at Dagenham & Redbridge's academy.

The Dockers announced over the weekend that Vaughan, pictured, had accepted a post at the League Two club but say he will be staying on as academy manager at Chadfields to continue guiding their two sides playing in the Football Conference Alliance.

Vaughan stepped down as Tilbury manager in October after five years at the helm of the Essex club and was replaced by the joint management team of current midfielder Gary Henty and former stalwart Danny Smith.
