Vita Risk Solutions: Manager of the Month Award, March 2024

Here are the Vita Risk Solutions Managers of the Month for March 2024.

Premier Division

March has been a superb month for Enfield Town. The Towners had an unbeaten February but saw their rise up the table hampered by a significant number of draws, but in March they moved up another level, defeating four of the five sides put in front of them and remaining unbeaten once more. Lewes, fellow play off-chasers Horsham, Concord Rangers and Bognor Regis Town were all defeated, and the only side to take as much as a point from them were Margate, in a draw on the Kent coast.

Many congratulations to Towners boss Gavin MacPherson, who has seen his side open up a six point lead over the chasing pack in the race for a play off place.

North Division

We’re off to the Len Salmon, because we have a well-deserved prize for Bowers and Pitsea boss James Collins.

Bowers had a rather magnificent March. The month saw them face Maldon and Tiptree, Witham Town, in-form top five rivals Bury Town and New Salamis, and those four matches delivered four superb victories. They also had a match abandoned against another of the top five, Brentwood Town, and they were winning that one, too, when the weather got in the way- so perhaps had the rain held off it might have been five wins from five! We enter the business end of the season with James and his side having opened up a nine point lead between themselves and the chasing pack, so perhaps a quick return to the Premier Division is on the cards?

A big well done to James, and his rather impressive side.

South Central Division

We’re off to Fetcham Grove- for the second time today, having already delivered the uhlsport Golden Gloves Award! March saw Hayden Bird’s Leatherhead side play five matches, and those five matches delivered five wins, two clean sheets and three goals conceded- each of them no more than a consolation- with Met Police, Guernsey, Ashford Town, Binfield and South Park Reigate the victims. A magnificent month- which fits into the pattern of a superb season so far, the Tanners with the best defence in the Division, second place in the table, and virtually assured a play off spot.

Congratulations go to Hayden- and indeed to all of his Tanners.

South East Division

For the second time today we’re heading to Oaklands Park and celebrating all things Chichester City- and the fantastic work of boss Miles Rutherford.

City’s five matches in March all ended with three points, and every one of them ended with a clean sheet. Merstham were hit for three, as were Burgess Hill Town and Horndean. Sheppey United restricted City to two, before fellow play off hopefuls Lancing were hit for four. However, although this award is only for March, it would be remiss of us to neglect to mention (again) that City haven’t conceded a goal for- as we write- eight hundred and forty nine minutes. The last time anyone managed a goal for an opponent was on February 3rd, when Omar Folkes scored for East Grinstead Town- not that it helped the Wasps much, given that City scored seven that day!

Many congratulations to Miles on a superb March- and indeed on a superb season so far.
