Nathan Wood makes a Margate debut

Margate gave a debut to forward/attacking midfielder Nathan Wood in their defeat at Horsham on Saturday, after he made a move to Hartsdown Park from Tonbridge Angels.

Nathan has recently been playing Isthmian football for Ramsgate on loan from Angels, making five appearances for the South East leaders.

He played Academy football for Southampton and youth football for Wimbledon- and played eighteen times for Leatherhead during the 2017-18 campaign, where he came on as a substitute in the televised FA Cup First Round win at Billericay Town.

He went on to play for Walton Casuals, Herne Bay and Molesey, and then made twenty five appearances for Bedfont Sports during the 2019-20 campaign, scoring five goals in the process. He then headed to Woking, and also spent time on dual-registration with Farnborough.

After leaving the Cards he started this season with Faversham Town, scoring four goals in thirteen games before his move to Longmead.
