Woods appoint a new boss

Ursell is the man giving the task of turning around Northwood's fortunes

After last week's parting of the ways with manager Jamie Leacock, and another defeat at the weekend- their eighth in a row- Northwood this morning appointed the man they hope will steer them away from the bottom of the table. Robert Ursell is the new broom whom the club hope will sweep them up the division.

During his playing career Rob had two spells with the Woods, and also played for Carshalton Athletic, Hendon, Walton Casuals, Chertsey Town and Wingate & Finchley. He will also be remembered as a mainstay of AFC Wimbledon during their period in the Isthmian League, joining them just before their first season with us and scoring twenty one goals from midfield.

He has another playing career, in Futsal, where he has been playing for Sussex.
