Worthing sign former Newcastle and Southampton midfielder

No longer a Saint or a Geordie, Olly is now a Mackerel Man

Worthing have announced the signing of former Southampton and Newcastle United midfielder Olly Long.

Olly came through the youth setup at the Saints and them moved up to St James Park. He was part of the Under 17's squad that headed to France for the prestigious Tournoi International de Football in 2015, and came back with the trophy after getting the better of FC Bruges, Porto and RC Lens, and Olly got the equaliser against the French club in the semi-finals. He was also part of a successful squad that reached the quarter finals of the FA Youth Cup.

He has most recently been on trial at Portsmouth.
