Worthing sign new stadium naming deal

By Ian Townsend

Woodside Road will now be known as The Crucial Environmental Stadium!

Things couldn't be going much better on the pitch for our league leaders. Worthing, two points clear at the top of the BetVictor Isthmian Premier Division, haven't lost a league match for almost four months- spurred on by far and away the best average attendance in the top flight, with eight hundred and fifty one paying customers per home match. And now it's a little more positive off the pitch too, as the Mackerel Men have announced that henceforth their Woodside Road ground will be known as The Crucial Environmental Stadium.

Crucial Environmental are a national company specialising in asbestos surveying and removal, but were founded in the Sussex town and have been involved in sponsorship at the club for a number of years. And now they have taken their sponsorship to a new level with the purchase of stadium naming rights.

Worthing are away at Carshalton Athletic on Saturday, so their first match in The Crucial Environmental Stadium should be on Saturday February 8th, when Cray Wanderers come to call.
