Yellows boss steps down

AFC Sudbury have announced the voluntary redundancy of their manager, Mark Morsley.

The club statement, which you can read in full here, explains:

'It is with regret that the Board of AFC Sudbury has today agreed the voluntary redundancy of it's First Team Manager, Mark Morsley. This comes in light of the completely unprecedented times that the world finds itself in at this moment. The great uncertainty over when the world of football will return to normal has been entirely responsible for this decision.'

During his tenure Mark has been responsible for introducing many of Sudbury's Academy products to first team football, and has presided over a number of excellent performances, notably the four-one FA Trophy Second Qualifying Round victory at Worthing back in November, when the Yellows goals were scored by Reece Harris, Baris Altintop, Callum Harrison and Liam Bennett. Worthing were on a seven match unbeaten run in all competitions, and didn't lose another match for the next three months.

AFC Sudbury are currently in eleventh place in the North Division, and on a run which has seen them lose only one of their last six matches.
