Zola goes to Town

Around six weeks ago we advised you that Ashford Town had signed former Aldershot Town winger Kevin Zola, and explained that he had also apparently played for Enfield Town but that we could find no record of him there.

Phil Davison sent in an email after that article was published, and explained that Kevin made but one appearance for the Towners, in a match which was, coincidentally, at Ashford Town on April 5th 2016, in the Middlesex Senior Cup. Well that seems to have remained his only match at the home of the Tangerines, as he hasn't featured this season but has now joined Hertford Town.

He played for Town in their 0-0 Velocity Trophy draw with Cambridge City on Saturday, but had left the fray and was sitting on the bench by the time his new side lost the resulting penalty shootout.
