Award measures up to expectations

Billericay Town boss Craig Edwards took time out on Monday before his side's midweek trip to Lowestoft Town to collect his new suit and certificate as one of the September winners of the Nicholas Rowe Tailoring Manager of the Month accolades.

Pictured being presented with a framed inscribed certificate by Nicholas Rowe after winning one of the jointly sponsored Macron and Nicholas Rowe Tailoring Manager of the Month Awards, the Blues boss was named at the start of the month alongside Gary Alexander at Greenwich Borough in Ryman South and VCD Athletic's Keith McMahon in Ryman North.

Like all winners, Edwards was measured up for a new suit at the Surrey-based tailor's 7000 sq ft Suit-City in Redhill thanks to the Ryman League's unique sponsorship deal which is now in its third season.

The Ryman League's top flight winner managed a number of clubs including Chelmsford City and Grays Athletic before his appointment by the Blues in April 2010. To win September's accolade, the former boxer enjoyed the perfect month guiding his side to seven straight wins, four in the league, one in the Alan Turvey Trophy sponsored by Robert Dyas and two in the Emirates FA Cup to reach the third qualifying round.
