A Beachboy for Regent

Former Miller and short-term Blue Wyan Reid signs on at the Taydal

Brightlingsea Regent have announced the capture of former Aveley wideman Wyan Reid, who signs from National League South Concord Rangers.

Wyan has played a full part in the Rangers first team squad this season, after joining the club in the summer. He came through the Academy and Reserve sides at Aveley, making six appearances for the first team last season and forty two during 2020-21, when he scored seven goals. He then left the Millers to sign for Brentwood Town in October 2020, but managed only three appearances before the season crashed to a covid-induced end.

Regent boss Brett Munyard told the club website:

“Wyan is an exceptional talent and is a massive coup for the club. I believe he has a huge future ahead of him and at just 21 years old he adds to an already very young side.

We have tried very hard to recruit young players to the side to bring stability and longevity to the squad, and Wyan is another example of that.”
