A new Parish for Hastings

No, this isn't an ecumenical matter, it's a new striker at the Continental Pilot Field

When you are the top scoring side in the Pitching In Isthmian South East Division and you decide to strengthen your side, who do you sign? A striker, of course, and that's exactly what Hastings United have done today.

Moving to the Continental Pilot Field from National League South Welling United is a familiar name to Isthmian watchers, former Maldon & Tiptree and Ashford United striker Danny Parish.

Danny was prolific at Step Four. During the 2019-20 season he scored an incredible twenty nine goals in forty matches for Maldon & Tiptree, including three hat tricks, and that wasn't a flash in the pan because the season before that he managed twenty four goals for Hastings' promotion rivals Ashford United, and was part of the Nuts and Bolts side that knocked out his new club in the Play Off Semi-Final.

He left the Jammers for Wealdstone in the summer of 2020, and in October of last year moved to Welling United, but now he's back to terrorise South East defences once more- perhaps starting at Chichester City tomorrow.
