A trio of Oysterboys

Whitstable Town confirm three new arrivals

Whitstable Town yesterday announced three new arrivals, with the signings of Charlie Heatley, Mo Karama and George Monger.

Charlie moves down to the Kent coast from Barking, where he had scored nine goals in thirty one appearances. he made it ten for the campaign when he scored on his debut against Ashford United on Saturday.

Charlie previously played for Frenford, and prior to that for FC Hamlets and Mile End, and apparently was once a goalkeeper- so at least his new manager won't need one of those on the bench!

Mo Kamara is a defender who moves over from Whitehawk, where he has only been since October. He played twenty two times for the Hawks, including against his new employers in November- although the Belmont faithful will forgive him that, as they won. he started the season with Margate, playing eight times, and last season was at Herne Bay, playing six times after joining from Ashford United. Whilst with the Nuts and Bolts during 2019-20 he made thirty nine appearances, almost all of them in the number six shirt.

That was his second spell with the Nuts and Bolts, and he'd also played for Herne Bay previously, making seven appearances in 2017-18 a campaign during which he also played for Molesey. He has also turned out for Greenwich Borough.

George Monger, a midfielder, previously played for his new manager at VCD Athletic. He moves over from Sitingbourne, where he has made twenty appearances this season, and as well as Vickers has turned out for Ramsgate, Faversham Town, Thamesmead Town and Dartford.
