A Yella double!

Liam Tack and Ben Harris are new at Ascot United

Ascot United had two new names in their squad as they defeated Binfield on Friday night- and one of them scored two debut goals.

The double goalscorer was Liam Tack, a midfielder who left Binfield as recently as November 2022 to join up with Bracknell Town. Whilst a Mole he played sixty two times and scored ten goals, having previously been with Thame United.

His time with Bracknell saw him involved in some matches which he will remember forever, particularly this seasons FA Cup run which saw the Robins defeat Dagenham and Redbridge and make the First Round, where they lost to Cambridge United- and last season's progression to the Pitching In Southern Premier South Play Off Final.

Alongside Liam was striker Ben Harris, who returns to the Yellas after a number of years away. His other clubs include Windsor and Hampton & Richmond Borough, and he also spent time in New Zealand with Team Wellington. He spent a few years playing with Slough Town, and just like his team mate is a recent Robin, moving to the Yellas from Bracknell Town.
