Blues bring back Charles

Bishop's Stortford announce the return of Ryan

Bishop's Stortford yesterday announced the return of winger Ryan Charles, last seen turning out at Wembley for Concord Rangers in their narrow defeat to Harrogate Town.

Ryan signed for Rangers in the summer of last year, making two steps up after leaving Maldon & Tiptree- where he had scored four goals in twelve appearances as the 2019-20 season drew to a premature close. He also spent a little time at Canvey Island last season, although it was a very little time- he only got the chance to play once before the world caved in, featuring in the FA Cup Second Round defeat against Boreham Wood. That was his second spell with the Gulls, as he was also a big part of their side as they reached the Playoff Final in 2017-18.

He spent 2018-19 with Stortford, featuring thirty seven times- and scoring nine goals- as they narrowly missed out on the Playoffs.

He also played for Needham Market and Witham Town.
